It's Christmas Eve and Pat is eager to deliver all the post before the village Christmas Party that evening. Pat is making a special guest appearance disguised as Santa. Pat gives a lift to a mysterious stranger who seems to know the inhabitants of Greendale intimately. The stranger helps Pat deliver the post and it is clear that the stranger is actually Father Christmas in disguise. Pat and the Stranger work hard all day but Pat is still behind time. Julian Sarah and Jess go to the Christmas Party where all the children are delighted by the appearance of Father Christmas bearing gifts for all. He leaves just as Pat arrives. All the adults congratulate Pat on his brilliant disguise but Pat is confused. Julian realises that Father Christmas must have been his father in costume and is disappointed. That night Julian is awakened by sounds from the living room. Going down to investigate he sees Father Christmas who wishes them all Merry Christmas before promising Julian a special present.
